Using real-world wildland fire data and creative thinking, students demonstrated impressive collaboration, critical thinking, and enthusiasm for mathematics. Kindergarten Registration Night is March 5 at all Boise elementary schools. Families are invited to register, meet teachers, and explore classrooms as they begin their child’s Boise Schools journey. Online registration opens February 1. We can’t wait to welcome our newest students! 🌟

The Boise School District Board of Trustees has taken a significant step in its leadership transition by voting to offer Wendy Johnson, the District’s current Deputy Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, the position of Superintendent. Johnson has accepted the offer.

Boise School District Superintendent Lisa Roberts announced she will retire on June 30, 2026, concluding a 33-year career dedicated to Boise students, staff, and families. The Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting on January 21, 2026, to outline the process for selecting the district’s next superintendent.

The Boise School District has reached settlement agreements related to former employee Gavin Snow and remains firmly committed to strengthening safety, accountability, and transparency. Updates on legal proceedings and ongoing safety work are provided in this statement.
